Period Double Doors, Crown, Inverness

The Brief A full thermal and aesthetic upgrade for the grand period entrance at Strathearn in Crown, Inverness, keeping all of its original character. The Making We stripped back and refurbished the original double doors, and swapped the internal panels for high-performance insulated panels. New stops with built-in draught seals and a new weather bar keep the weather out. We also added secondary glazing to the original fanlight to keep the vestibule warm through the winter. The Finished Piece Painted in Gori 99 Extreme Opaque: Farrow & Ball Blue Gray outside and School House White inside. A night-and-day difference in both kerb appeal and warmth.
