Every Home Has Its Own Story
Every project starts with a conversation. We listen to your ideas, take time to understand the building and explore the best way of bringing the two together. Whether your project begins with detailed architectural drawings, a simple sketch or simply an idea you’ve been thinking about, we can help shape it into something that feels as though it has always belonged.
Working closely with homeowners, architects and contractors, we design and manufacture timber windows, including traditional sash and case, storm-proof and casement windows, handcrafted doors, bespoke staircases, architectural joinery and fitted interiors. From bookcases, boot rooms and desks to kitchens and one-off commissions, every project is tailored to the property and the people who use it.
Crafted in our Cawdor workshop using traditional bench joinery techniques, we work with carefully selected timbers, including Oak, Accoya, Douglas Fir Red and other quality hardwoods and softwoods, choosing materials that best suit the project and its environment. The result is joinery that respects the character of the building while meeting the demands of modern living.
Oak to Bespoke brings together Fraser’s collaborative approach to working with clients and Chris Milne’s 25 years of traditional joinery experience. From the first conversation through to manufacture and installation, every project is shaped by the same commitment to craftsmanship, quality and attention to detail.
Heritage & Technique
Traditional buildings were not made from standard templates, and neither is the joinery that belongs within them.
We specialise in the manufacture of bespoke timber joinery for period, heritage and conservation properties, taking inspiration from the character, proportions and detailing of the original building. Existing mouldings and profiles can be carefully matched and replicated, ensuring new work sits naturally alongside old.
Every project is manufactured in our workshop, allowing close attention to detail at every stage. Traditional craftsmanship is combined with modern materials, glazing and finishes where appropriate, helping improve performance while respecting the character of the property.
